This agreement applies when people write to you through the page Startnik made for you. For those requests you decide what happens (you are the controller) and Startnik keeps and forwards them for you (we are the processor). It is part of the Terms of service and takes effect when you accept them.
1. What we process
The name, the contact details and the message a person sends through your page, and the date it was sent. We process it only to store it for you, show it in your dashboard and forward it to your email.
2. Only on your instructions
We process the data only to provide the service as described, and on your documented instructions — using the dashboard counts as such an instruction. If we think an instruction breaks the law, we tell you.
3. Confidentiality and security
Everyone at Startnik who can access the data is bound to confidentiality. We protect it with the measures described on the Security page: encrypted connections, each account seeing only its own data, passwords stored as hashes, limited access.
4. Other processors
You allow us to use the companies listed on the Subprocessors page for the parts of the service they provide. They are bound by the same obligations. We tell you by email at least 30 days before we add or replace one; you may object, and if we cannot meet your objection you may cancel.
5. Helping you
We help you answer requests from people exercising their rights, and with security, breach notification and impact assessments as far as the service allows. You can delete any request yourself in your dashboard, and download all your data.
6. Breaches
If a breach affects the data we process for you, we tell you without undue delay, with what we know and what we are doing about it.
7. Transfers
Where data is handled outside the European Economic Area, the safeguards described in the Privacy policy (section 5) apply.
8. When it ends
When you delete a request or your account, the data is deleted from the live system at once and from backups in the normal backup cycle, unless the law obliges us to keep it.
